ST PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATION

It’s time to get out and celebrate! Join the United City of Yorkville in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on Saturday, March 14! The day will be packed with activities and events the entire family can enjoy! PLUS, check out the music, food, and other festive activities hosted at several of Yorkville’s restaurants and businesses! All events will be held on Saturday, March 14.
- RUN S.O.B. RUN 5K - 9am
- Lucky Leprechaun Hunt - 9am-11:30am
- Live Music by Procession Brass Band - 9:45am-10:45am
- Yorkville Heating & Air Conditioning Clover Court Contest - 10am
- Winners will join the Irish Parade at 11am!
- Irish Parade - 11am
- Food and Drink Specials & Live Music Performances - At various businesses throughout the day
RUN S.O.B RUN 5K
Starting from Southbank BBQ
(129 E Hydraulic St)
Come join The 10th Annual Run S.O.B Run and PUT YOUR FAVORITE SAINT PATRICKS DAY GEAR ON! Sign up alone, as a family, or with your best four-legged friend. This 5K is a fun-filled event for all ages. Live Music all day and a parade to follow! ☘️

- Early registration is available for $35 per person and includes a shirt for registrations taken by March 12.
- Early registration pricing ($35/person) is available through March 12; however, registrations taken after March 12 will not receive a shirt.
- Day-of registration opens at 8:00am, costs $45 per person, and does not include a shirt.
- Race begins at 9:00am.
- The race will be chip-timed and scored with live results.
All proceeds from the RUN S.O.B. RUN 5k will benefit CASA Kendall County. CASA Kendall County is a nonprofit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interest of abused and neglected children within the Juvenile Court system.
LUCKY LEPRECHAUN HUNT
9am-11:30am
Ever wanted to find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Now here's your chance! The Leprechaun has hidden a pot of gold in one of the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department's parks!
The first clue will be posted on the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook page at 9am on Saturday, March 14. Families will then continue to follow the clues posted on signs at each park while collecting tokens to see if they can locate the hidden pot of gold and win a candy prize!!
Please note, only the first 50 groups completing the Lucky Leprechaun Hunt will receive the prize and must show the tokens collected from each park. All prizes must be redeemed between 9am-11:30am at Riverfront Park!
*This is a free event to participate in.
HINT: When reading the clues, many will allude to the subdivision where the park is located and/or the theme of the playground at the park! Please use the Park Map and the interactive Google Map to assist in your hunt! Good luck!

NEED HELP?
March 14 from 9am-11:30am: Participants may text the words LUCKY LEPRECHAUN HELP to 630-391-0171 for assistance, and a Yorkville Recreation Staff member will be happy to assist you. Please note that while the Lucky Leprechaun signs will remain at the parks for approximately 1 week following the event, the Help Line will only be active from 9am-11:30am on Saturday, March 14.
Help after March 14: The Lucky Leprechaun Answer Key will be available. This answer key will include all sign clues and park locations. Participants may contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department at Recreation@yorkville.il.us or call 630-553-4350 for assistance; however, responses may not be immediate.

Gather at the Riverfront Parks Pavilion before the Irish Parade to enjoy a free performance by the Procession Brass Band!
IRISH PARADE
11am
Grab your green shirts and shamrocks and join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department and several local businesses for the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14! The parade starts at the easternmost end of Hydraulic Ave and continues down East Hydraulic ending at Route 47. All parade spectators are asked to line up along Riverfront Park on the north end of the road.
JOIN THE FUN & CREATE A FLOAT
All businesses, individuals, and organizations are welcome to participate for free in the Irish Parade. Candy can be passed out to viewers; however, please refrain from throwing candy from floats.
Line-up will begin at 10:15am on the East end of Hydraulic Avenue near the playground. Please note, placement within the parade is on a first come, first serve basis. Interested participants may fill out and submit the Parade Sign Up Form and staff will reach out to you prior to the parade with additional details; however, floats may arrive and participate the day of the parade as space allows. Please contact our Recreation Team for any questions.
YORKVILLE HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING CLOVER COURT CONTEST

Hear ye, hear ye! All those who seek to prove their worth in the realm of merriment and revelry, come forth and join the grand festive-wear competition to earn your place in the illustrious St. Patrick’s Day Clover Court sponsored by Yorkville Heating & Air Conditioning!
Let your creativity soar as you compete with other noble souls, each vying for the coveted title of the most festively dressed! With your wits, charm, and Irish flair, impress the judges and win the hearts of the people as you model your most festive attire befitting St. Patrick’s Day royalty. NEW THIS YEAR - If you emerge victorious, you shall be crowned and bestowed with the honor and glory of joining the Clover Court AND RIDE WITHIN THE IRISH PARADE for all to see and celebrate! Winners will also receive a Prize Box packed full of goodies to enjoy.
So come one, come all, and let the magic of St. Patrick’s Day enchant you. Join the grand festive-wear competition that is the Yorkville Heating & Air Conditioning Clover Court Contest and show everyone what it truly means to be a champion of celebration!
Champions will be selected for the following categories:
- Clover King (Most Festive Male Adult 18+)
- Clover Queen (Most Festive Female Adult 18+)
- Clover Prince (Most Festive Male Child 17 & Under)
- Clover Princess (Most Festive Female Child 17 & Under)
- Emerald Entourage (Most Festive Group)
